Me and My Shack

Thanks for visiting my online hamshack!

My name is Chad Bruce, KC9HZJ, and I've been a licensed amateur radio operator since August 2005. It's been a wonderful learning experience. I don't have the most impressive shack, but it does just about everything that I could want. Enjoy your visit!

• Custom Built Athlon 1GHz/512MB PC for Echolink and related features
• MFJ-564 Iambic CW Paddles
• ...and a cabinet full of great, old GE radios begging to be converted!

As budget and time allows, I am sure the shack will grow.

Interests

I like to try anything once. I really enjoy building and maintaining repeaters. I have built 2 so far. One works, and the other is awaiting crystals. Hopefully, it will work, too. I enjoy ragchewing on 2M, contesting on 6M SSB, and I am currently trying my hand at 6M CW. So far, so good!
