To connect into the link from another Echolink node such as a computer, another simplex link, or a repeater, enter my node number: 267644

Node Instructions

The node is controlled via RF using DTMF Commands. Some of the more common commands are found in the next section below. The link will always respond within 5 seconds of receiving a command, if it doesn't respond... it didn't hear you.

One of the best ways to see if you are in range of the system is to enter * on your keypad. If the voice ID follows within a few seconds, the node is able to hear you. You can also connect to the Echolink Test Server (node 9999). Once connected, it will play back your transmissions to let you evaluate your transmitted signal. That function works very similarly to a simplex repeater.

Remember, if you have questions, help is available. I am ALWAYS more than happy to assist you. My wish is for everyone to enjoy the link. It is very easy to use once you are familiar with it's operation. Call for me on the air, send me an email, or call me on the phone. I'm at your service.

It is important to remember that this is a simplex node and not a duplex repeater. If you "kerchunk" the link, there will be no squelch tail.

The link also supports real-time weather, Newsline, and many other useful features. Be sure to listen to the on-air help file to learn more.

An emergency backup system was installed in late 2005. Backup consists of multiple deep cycle batteries, inverters, relays, and UPS systems. The link has the ability to remain online even when an infrastructure or power failure occurs. Should the unfortunate and unexpected happen... we will be ready. During the Tornado of November 2005, the link was operating as a simplex repeater for 3 days at full power using the backup system. There's no doubt that it will be ready when the time comes again.
